Flamingo Pizza of Miller in Gary

Ok first time we went there are pizza was delicious! Just went this weekend and what a disappointment! How can a pizza taste so different in one month? But a least the bartender was super nice and we love the atmosphere great music and the beer was cold!! Oh and Flamingo please please stop letting customers smoke in your restaurant!!

The food was gross. The place smelled like a chuck E Cheese. We had pizza and wings. Even the blue cheese was gross. The only things that were edible were the waffle fries and the alcohol. This place is supposed to be known for their pizza...

Good pizza, average bar food. Tiny, noisy, dimly lit, smokey bar. They dont take reservation.

OMG the food was Amazing! Perch was light and piled high! Steak was tender and tasty! All this and so reasonably priced. Denise, our server, was spot on with orders! All our food was so delicious! We love this casual dining establishment. It keeps us coming back!

Excellent food, great service, but way too much smoke. Felt and smelt like I smoked a pack of cigs when I walked out. Easily four maybe five stars if cigarette smoke does not bother you

Only reason I stopped here was because it was open for dine in. Pizza was awful. Didn't even finish it. The locals hanging outside were very rude. Won't be coming back

Flamingos is a shotgun style bar with pizza that was on point. My friend grew up in the area and recommended we grab some za. Glad we did...he even got 2 XLs to go. Must bring back the good old days for him. Enjoy!

This is one of the hidden gems in Northwest Indiana. It’s a go to spot for my family and I. Just a heads up that it’s only adults. 21 and over. The environment here is awesome, everyone seems to know everyone and the food is fantastic. Good selection of drinks and they always have the game on. Fantastic spot and one of my favorite places in the region.

I love going to this place! The staff are awesome and the food is great. That have a great selection of beer and everyone there acts like your family. Overall, the place is my number stop for pizza. They do have a hidden gem which is their grilled cheese sandwich it is amazing!

Food is great, but the place is very smokey .

I was told this was a place with great pizza so I wanted to see for myself. I called the order in the lady who answered phone was very rude and when I asked for a price she said “Omg” which I wanted to leave it at that but I placed the order. In 40 minutes I arrived to pick the pizza up and was told that the order was never made and there was nothing they could do besides me waiting another 40 minutes for my pizza when I asked for the person who took the order she stated she doesn’t usually take orders and walked away rudely. So the young girl asked well what do you want to do, I just left because why would I want you to make my food with that attitude. I will never return to this place, I was visiting Miller, Indiana and they made that experience horrible.

Don't get me wrong...this is a bar...they have really good bar food..fried perch A1...hamburgers good..pizza looks good..you can even get a steak...and everyone who works there does their best... if you're looking for something tasty and a good beer flamingos is the place to go...M

My first date was there so I have to give it 5 stars. The fish was good too though 😁

In arriving we were told that because it was a 21yr and over restaurant, we had to sit at a table set aside from everyone else. (5 adults and 3 kids.) We were fine with that but after sitting there for 30 minutes no one approached us again, not even with waters or to tell us it might be a minute. We decided to leave, our first and last time there.. horrible service!!

Great pizza, steaks, and perch. Fire brick pizza, 25% off on Mondays. Pot roast Thursday. More than you can eat in 1 sitting.

Good food and nice place to relax. The outdoor seating is great, the staff is friendly and polite, the food is delicious. The menu is great. It's just a really nice place to visit, especially in the summer. Location is easy to find and there is always parking. Many people seem to ride their bikes here.

Delicious food, friendly people, new outside dining area. This place would be five stars if it didn't allow smoking.

We walked in with a 2 year old not seeing any signs posted about no kids and the bartender immediately yelled at us, we weren’t 2 feet into the restaurant and he embarrassed us in front of the whole place. We politely asked if there was a restaurant side and he answered rudely again that there was not and when we asked if there were any restaurants near by he rolled his eyes and said to look across the street at grocery store for food. When we were leaving he started talking sarcastically about us while we were still inside and then shouted at us to read the sign on the door next time. We are not from the area but wanted to stop for a nice dinner. When we looked online for restaurants, this was the first to pop up and had a high rating, it shows a whole dining area and advertises only its food and not it’s a bar at all. We were greeted with extremely rude and embarrassing staff that made us feel uncomfortable. Do not recommend.

The pizza was good, this is not a family friendly establishment. The staff were unfriendly and there is very little seating for restaurant patrons. The staff were very insistent that anyone with a beer sit in the bar area and the 2 minors were not allowed to sit at a table where adults had alcoholic beverages. We waited for our pizza and left. Won’t be back.

Great perch and walleye specials

Food was decent and atmosphere was good. Generally it would be a 4 or 5 star place but in the middle of the whole bar watching the presidential debates and laughing and making fun of the candidates the owner turns the channel on all the TVs and starts playing oldies music claiming she's tired of hearing the debates. Everyone In The place started complaining and leaving... the bartenders and waitresses were nice and people were fun but mood was ruined that day. Came back later in the week to watch a football game and the server was kind of a jerk to my partner cause he asked for lemon for his water... overall I wasn't impressed with the service but the food was decent and there weren't very many options in the area...

Awesome perch but I like to get it by the pound instead of the dinner because you get more fish. Very good pizza always went there when it was on B-Way in Gary it tastes the same.enjoy

Absolutely one of the best bar/restaurants we have been to. Atmosphere was great. More like a pub style with tables for dining in the back. We ordered the pizza and it was awesome. Made to order. My husband smokes and we didn't realize you could smoke inside. I never smelled anything and their were their thick clouds of smoke as others have stated. Definitely well ventilated. The owners greeted us as we were leaving realizing we were not locals. We will definitely be going back and referring others.
